Definitely not chocolate...

This chocolately looking confection is actually not edible. I decided to use some of my just finished calendula oil, with some of last year´s st. johns wort oil and tincture to make some hypercal cream.
I´m not very experienced with blending to make creams, and I didn´t have the correct recipe to hand (not patient either!), so I adapted another recipe and it went very strange and glupey when I added the tincture. I don´t think the recipe I used was supposed to include alcohol. The hypericum tincture coloured the mixture just like chocolate. I was not impressed, but stuck with it, experimenting and adding stuff until I finally got a soft cream which ended up in the jar. Although I managed to get into my usual kitchen mess, I do have high hopes for the healing properties that ended up in the jar and have a good feeling that it will remedy the itchy red patches that flair up on the back of my knees.

You´re draining me...

Dear Big Mouth
Well? Are you satisfied with yourself? Did you have a big enough audience? Do you feel like you held centre stage? Did you manage to impress R&S +crew? What kind of impression do you think you made on the Dutch and Canadian/Italian/Chinese contingent, let alone Snr R - what on earth did he think of your behaviour? Do you even care?
Love, J x
p.s. As always, I am left drained by your dramatic performance!

Made me chuckle...

...hope it does for you too.

Lost focus

Seem to have temporarily lost the drive to keep this blog updated. Hope to get my mojo back soon folks!

Chakra test

This is an interesting result. I´m not at all surprised about my root chakra - I have a problem with being properly grounded and have started again to get my hands back in the earth by gardening. This is one of the best ways for me to remedy the situation.
My third eye was more of a surprise. I would have said my intuition was quite good. However, I do have difficulty with visualisation and I do ask other´s opinions much of the time, so I will take that on board.Posted by Picasa

Dear Big Mouth
Will you please shut up and give your brain a chance (to go to sleep) ...?

Dear Big Mouth
I notice how you can´t wait to get your word in, even when someone else holds the talking stick by rights. Why don´t you really listen to what the other person has to say first? Then, when they have finished talking, you can consider your true response to what they have said, and give them an appropriate, honest and considered answer.

How to ride roughshod over the wishes of the population

What an apalling state of affairs in UK politics (major understatement !!!). This cannot be sustainable and there must be another election PDQ. I hear that people are protesting against Cameron already, and quite right too. From bad to worse I say.

A Little Local Difficulty

Like thousands of others, I rediscovered my resourcefulness during the volcanic ash cloud. I got a couple of lucky breaks; a flight to Brussels instead of London, and only a day late. Then I got a Eurostar ticket, although none were supposed to available. I went from "I´m not coming" to "I´ll be there tonight" in less than a day.

GM

For this first blog back after my MIL´s funeral, and the difficult travelling across Europe due to the volcanic ash, I thought I would let my cheeky fella, GM (short for Gangamai), do the talking with his "stolen from a gypsy" jewel eyes.
